The Story Behind the S ?

Introduction

You might be wondering what the extra “S” actually signifies and what difference there might be between “Tier 4 Guy” and “Tier 4 Guys”. Before I move any further with the blog, Let me explain how these 2 are separate entities.

See “Tier 4 Guy” is basically me, and “Tier 4 Guys” is the community I wanna build. So, in a nutshell, What I do, What I think, and What I interpret will be on “Tier 4 Guy”. Whereas, What the community needs and what community deserves will be on “Tier 4 Guys”.

Before moving further, I’d urge you to check this thread out as it’ll give you a much better idea about where all of this is coming from.

However, I’m still gonna write everything here in much more detail so you are good to go regardless.

Why Tier 4 Guy?

Unlike the classic story of someone having a nickname they have always used either for their gaming handle or any other platform which asks for a username, I’ve never used Tier 4 Guy before. To be honest, I don’t even remember where the name came from. However, I certainly love this name. It might just signify a person who is from a tier 4 town. And, it’s relatable as I’ve spent almost 2 decades ( 18 Years to be precise ) in a Tier 4 town. But for the last 6 and a half years, I’ve been living in the national capital as I am writing this blog, which is almost 1/3rd of how I much spent at a place which was 100 km away from any big city.

I’ve never felt much difference between the two cities from an objective POV as you always see all kinds of people in both places. You get to see people who wanna hustle their way to something big, you also see someone who was already born with riches and then having a much clearer path to the same destination or you may see a mix of both. You see people who are ambitious but lazy, you also see people who are at one time at their peak but then face downfall and rise or never rise again. Only the percentage changes as you see more of one kind in one place in comparison to another.

But how is that relevant for a blog which focuses on education and wants to create a community built around education? Well, that’s why I’ve written this blog.

I don’t want this all to be just another education-focused or job-focused venture. I also don’t wish to make Tier 4 Guys just another education resource platform as there are already big players in the same sector. Honestly, it doesn’t need to be another website which has tweaked its SEO and got enough backlinks to rank on search engines and then shows a generic article with the only difference being in title name, structure, or any other variable data.

I’m not saying the sector doesn’t need one, I’m just saying that the technology is involved enough for it to be solved by just typing it on an AI tool to gather the same info. Also, doing the same won’t be fun enough for me to keep doing it for all the ranks. Apart from the ranks, I wanna also focus on all income-earning avenues for the people. Because even if some people wanna spend their time grinding on the same notes for years and sometimes I think it’s the only option for them, what I want is for people not to waste their time or at least make something a priority when it doesn’t need to be. Here, I’ll share my own experience, gather other’s experience, and ask questions which any other Tier 4 Guy needs to ask.

Hence Tier 4 Guys

I wanna build a community that is a cesspool of information gathered by actual aspirants, aimers, students, and basically, anyone who doesn’t have clear-cut information about what they should do once they are out of their space. I can help them figure out what they can do while they are on their own, based on the experiences of people who have already gone through that path. And, it can’t be just a Telegram channel, it needs something bigger and I think a website for practical reasons is the best place for that.

Why The Extra S then?

Because the extra S stands for multiple things and some of them are:

Support

Like I said I can’t do everything alone; hence, I need support from the community to share their experiences and learnings with the rest of us. Make Tier 4 Guys a database of information all gathered from the people who are sometimes just one step ahead of their counterparts.

Shared Journey

Technically, not starting with S but then technically there shouldn’t also be lakhs of people preparing for an exam where vacancy isn’t even in triple digits; hence, the need for a shared Journey across all sectors.

Student

The learning never stops so, the term “student” always remains a synonym of yours. Clerk, PO, Grade C, Grade B and it never stops. And, until you are a student, you never will feel stagnancy.

Stories

Might possibly be the best interpretation of that extra S because, at the end of the day, we all have a story to tell. And, if you think your stories can help someone else to be the better main character in theirs, you are welcome to narrate the same.

The ‘S’ in Tier 4 Guys isn’t just a plural; it’s a symbol. It stands for Strivers who push boundaries, Stories that inspire, and Strength that unites. It’s about taking Steps toward success, finding Solutions to challenges, and growing from the Seeds of effort. Together, as a Squad, we’re building a future where everyone, no matter their starting point, can rise from the shadows to the spotlight.

What Are the immediate plans?

Thinking about something that hasn’t been achieved might give an adrenaline rush. However, if it isn’t accompanied by an equal intensity of efforts towards the same goal, it all goes in vain and leaves a dreaded feeling. Even though I need many people to create those data points for it to act as a guide for others, I first need to throw myself into the fire to act as a light for others to follow.

There are 2 separate ways for that. First is all the failures I have encountered and next is what I’m doing today to decrease the chances of the same happening in the near future. I’ve done all the math’s ( Ironically I’m weak in it) and the max I can give to it all, including preparing for exams, writing the blogs, making the notes, and managing the social handle, is around 3 hours. So, it’ll be a little bit tough as you can guess but that’s possibly the fun part. I’ll start with 2 types of content for this, the first one will focus on my journey, failed exams, and any other relevant stuff I have been through till now and others will focus on what I’m aiming for this year. Although the majority of time will go towards writing the former, I think I’ll complete that blog series much sooner and then move forward with the future. I’ve created some webpages on which I’m gonna add content according to the name so check those out from the website homepage And If you want to know more about the journey and keep yourself updated by checking the journey of me building Tier 4 Guys and with that let’s end this and I’ll see you guys in the next one.
